有人在網上拍賣二手物品，有人在網上拍賣自製手工品，有人卻在網上拍賣自己的女友！英國一男子肖恩(Shaun Coles)開玩笑在易趣上賣自己的女友，聲稱她既老又懶，儘管如此，令肖恩驚訝的是，居然真有人競價並開出了千元美金標價。

環球網據美國中文網報導，當時在易趣上甚至有超過50人出價，最高為1181美元。更令肖恩驚訝的是，他用於銷售女友戴比( Debbie Moran)的圖片並不漂亮，照片中戴比懶散的坐在沙發上看電腦，身旁還有一堆垃圾。

戴比得知男友在網上『出售』自己後，第一反應是生氣，繼而她理解這不過是男友的惡作劇。肖恩則說，『我的女友千金不換』。
